French*Antique*Manoir is a charming antique french brocante and antiques from 18th century until the Art Déco period which come essentially from the Loire Valley, known for its history, wine, family property, manoir and castles.
Fantastic antique French child toy that dates from the late 1800. Timeworn and distressed, this bear is stuffed with old wood chips which is rare, most of the bears are stuffed with straw and it is covered with a golden color mohair that has been hand sewn. His eyes are glass and absolutely authentic and his nose and mouth are sewn in black color. Faded to perfection, this must have been a cherished child toy but now this would make the most charming interior confection piece. The wooden wheels roll easily and are all good and strong as well as the metal frame which is strong and in place with everything firmly attached. Nowadays, this european stuffed bear are rare to find and in this good condition in addition, note just that there is a small hole that can be sewn easily and this is from where i saw that it is stuffed with wood chips and not straw, but it stays soft although and there is no loss of the wood chips. This comes directly from an attic château, i just dumped the dust and let it just as i found it.
Bear Measurements : 60cm/23.62" length, 44cm/17.32" height, 21cm/8.27" large.
Wood wheels large is 27.5cm/ 10.83".
