Used Contax 1(c) camera with collapsible black rimmed 50-mm f/2.8  Zeiss Jena Tessar lens and original makers case. This is the "C" model of the Zeiss Ikon Contax 1 class of cameras, made from 1932 to 1936 (https://www.cameraquest.com/zconrf1.htm). The camera is in overall good condition, cosmetically, mechanically and optically. There are no indentations or dings on the camera body or lens. At worst there are some modest wipe or cleaning marks on the camera housing. The black paint on the camera body is fully intact, uniform and not retouched. The various control knobs show modest signs of prior use. The leatherette is original, complete and fully intact with the metal body, and, though showing some general wear, is in very good condition. The viewfinder and rangefinder windows are both reasonably clean and bright, though some internal dust has accumulated on them over many decades. The rangefinder appears to be in good working order. Moreover, the shutter fires at all speeds, but is a bit sluggish at the lower speed settings. Furthermore, the shutter blinds appear to be in good condition with no accumulated grime on them. The nickel 50-mm f/2.8 Zeiss Jena Tessar lens overall appears to be in good condition. The lens barrel has modest rubbing marks, but the optics appear to be clean, free of haze, fungus and discernible scratch marks. Lastly the camera soft case is in very good condition, though one of the side ear flaps is missing. The case leather itself is in good condition with modest uniform wear, including the hinged and creased parts. All the case stitching except on the second ear flap is intact and strong. pps. Please be realistic in your expectations - camera definitely wasn't produced within the last year and then immediately put in a controlled vacuum chamber!
