Here is a very rare omnidirectional small diaphragm/lavalier microphone from Neumann. Produced from 1969-1985, they were primarilly designed as a lavalier microphone with a lapel clip set on the back of the casing. However they work wonderfully well at all the jobs that a KM83 would be employed on. It comes with a type correct Neumann SWAi pre-amp, which requires 48v phantom power.
Some folk claim that the capsule in this microphone is the same as the KM83, a common mistake. In fact it is a capsule unique to this unit. It has a nickle/ferrous membrane not polyester. This gives the microphone much quicker transient response.
This unit comes with a Sennheiser 'multi-angle' mic clip that will take the pre-amp and allow the mic to be clipped on. This aids good stable positioning. This all comes in a non-original hard case.
The microphone and pre-amp are in very good vintage condition and sound like they should.
