The LED light kit contains three hundred (300) 5mm and 3mm 3V, 20mA LEDs, in a divided plastic storage case as shown in the photos.

20 each 5mm White, Yellow, Red, Green and Blue LEDs (100 total 5mm LEDs)
40 each 3mm White, Yellow, Red, Green and Blue LEDs (200 total 3mm LEDs)

As with any LED, a current-limiting resistor should be used in series with these LEDs to protect the LED by controlling the maximum current that can flow through it. We offer current limiting resistors here. The forward voltage should not exceed 3V, and the maximum current is 20mA.
