This plate is for a 93-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee (ZJ). If you need a plate for a 97-01 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) please see my store.

This plate, machined out of 1/8" 6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminum, will allow you to repair the door and reinforce the door latch area without body work. This plate comes with 3 longer and stronger bolts to replace the 3 stock bolts which accommodate this version of the plate. In addition there are an additional 3 holes for screws or rivets for further reinforcement. Three self tapping screws are included with the plate.

**It is recommended that the door hinges also be repaired as they are the root cause of the door latch mounting failure. This plate will only repair the door itself.

I designed these repair plates myself in 2008 for use on my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is the red door in the images. Since then they have gone through a few revisions to make them more aesthetically pleasing, better fitment to the contours of the door, and a larger foot print. I have also designed a plate for the 97-01 Cherokees (XJ). The plates are produced in the USA by me and sold only by me. Anything else bearing a similar resemblance is a poor copycat.
