Here we have a photo of Natalie Clifford Barney. Born in America, a daughter of painter Alice Pike Barney, Natalie was openly lesbian and lived as an expatriate in Paris. She became a poet, novelist and playwright of note. The original image dated to circa 1890 to 1910 by photographer Frances Benjamin Johnston.
