For your consideration is outstanding Child’s sterling bowl and underplate made by Gorham, circa late 19th-to-early-20th Century. Very heavy gauge silver, and great decorations of Children in Bonnets. Each piece has Six Children encircling it (three Boys and three Girls). The Set is very similar Gorham’s Athenic Line, it is not marked Athenic, but the gauge, quality, age and design really seem like it. The pair are in very good condition, some expected surface scratches on the top of the underplate where the bowl sits on it, and light age-appropriate wear on the Set. The Set has not been monogrammed. Plate marked: Gorham’s Lion, Anchor, “G”, “STERLING”, “A2677”. Bowl marked the same, except “A2676”. Weight: 396 grams. Diameter of Plate: 7 1/2 inches. Diameter of Bowl: 4 5/8 inches. Height of Bowl: 2 1/4 inches. Pa Buyers must pay 6% state sales tax unless tax exempt. Thank you for looking and good luck!
