This graceful bronze dancer is exquisitely handmade complete with Egyptian symbols reflecting the period's fascination with the excavation of Tutankhamen's tomb. The base forms a natural pairing to the sculpture becoming part of the design and form. She wears a headdress of extravagant metal and jewels. She wears a top with little beads on the edge of the shirt, exposing her naked torso, and the most beautifully detailed skirt. The skirt falls long to her knees, she wears a scarf type cover up for her head and nice calve high boots. Handmade of 100% bronze and cast using the ancient "Lost Wax Method". Two tone patina finish on a solid black marble base and is signed Chiparus.
