This is a leather business/credit card holder designed for the modern man. Made from 100% genuine rugged heavy duty vegetable tanned cow hide leather, these cardholders are made from 4 pieces of heavy duty 4-6oz quality leather. These cardholders are completely handcrafted from start (choosing the leather and cutting out the pieces), to applying the final finish coat of Resolene protective acrylic finish specially made for leather. These cardholders are slightly over size however they will still easily fit into wither a shirt pocket or front pant pocket. After cutting out the leather pieces the ones that are going to be hand tooled are cased (wetted and prepared for tooling), then receive their individual designs. Each of the card holders are made from 4 separate pieces of leather. The back section of the card holder consists of the 1 3/8" money strap that is intended for holding paper money, the main rear body which has a front and back, and then the front piece of leather with the main tooling design. The leather pieces that are going to receive the tooled designs are "cased", then stamped with their individual designs. Then once all the pieces have dried they are dyed using quality leather dye. I use only high quality leather dyes that are specially formulated for leather. I apply 3 heavy coats of dye to each piece of leather to ensure a even deep penetration of the dye. This not only ensures a even color, but also that the color will last for a long time and will not fade. Once all the dye is dried, I give all the leather two coats of Resolene protective acrylic finish. This finish protects the leather from dust, dirt and moisture, but also keeps the leather dye from bleeding. Finally, the leather pieces are assembled together. First the money strap is stitched to the rear back piece, then this assembly is bonded to the rear front piece, followed by edge gluing the front to the back assembly. Lastly stitching holes are hand punched into the leather, and then they are hand stitched together with quality waxed woven thread using a two needle saddle stitch. By using this two needle saddle stitch it ensures the seams remain together without coming apart for a very long time if ever.  The money strap that is stitched to the back of the cardholder is a tight fit so when you slide folded paper money under it the money will fit tightly and not easily be removed. These heavy duty leather cardholders measure approximately; 3-1/4" (wide) x 4" (tall) x 3/8" (thick at center of bottom)

The saddle tan color cardholder has a traditional basket weave hand tooled pattern with a camouflaged border on it. The tooled pattern not only is on the front of the card holder but also carried over onto the front of the back section. Although there is a slight shade difference between the front piece and the front rear piece they were dyed with the same color of saddle tan dye. The difference is from a slight color difference in the two pieces of the veg-tanned leather. I think it gives a nice contrast difference and adds to the looks of the cardholder. 

The black cardholder has been hand tooled using a tri-weave basket weave stamp with a camouflaged border. This is a non traditional basket weave design, however done properly looks very good and will garner much attention from friends and colleagues alike. 

Both of these quality heavy duty rugged leather cardholders were made with usability and durability in mind. I stand behind each quality leather product I make. Remember that these are handcrafted and there may be small flaws in the finished product which will in no way detract from it's intended use, but will only add to the items individual uniqueness. These handcrafted leather cardholders are not cheap, thin, flimsy, machine made products. They are hand made from quality, heavy duty, 100% veg-tanned leather, hand stitched together , and will serve their owner for many years of use.
