The Royal Dutch Numismatic Society was founded in 1892 in Amsterdam. In 1899 it was granted the title "Royal" by H.M. Queen Wilhelmina. The Society supports and promotes anyone who is involved in coins, medals, paper money and related numismatic objects either as a professional or as an amateur. This is done by organizing meetings, promoting exhibitions and supporting local numismatic clubs.
