**Welcome to Tone Man Guitar**

Our Deluxe ES175 ES295 Kit uses Paper-In-Oil K42Y tone caps for vintage 50's Gibson tone.  All wired 50's style for more warmth, body and fuller tone.  It will make a difference.

This harness is a full replacement for any Gibson or Epiphone ES175, ES295 and other full holly body guitar styles.  Must not have any wood bracing between the two f holes that will obstruct the 3 way switch from being fed through.  If you are not sure if this unit will fit your guitar send me an email with your brand, year and model number.  I will check measurements and see what is needed.

Completely hand made pre-assembled kit with instructions, wiring diagrams and my support. Ready for you to drop in your guitar.  Every part is individually tested for value and tolerances. You want find a better kit.

Features: 50s Vintage Wiring For The Best Tone

·   Bourns PDA241 Series 500K Vintage-Style Potentiometers.  Short-Split Shaft Course Spline 18 teeth – Audio Taper – 15% Tolerance.  Design specifically for use in guitars.  Brass bushing with metal shaft.  Long Life Carbon Element. Each pot comes with nut and dress washer.

·    Switchcraft 3-Way Short Straight Toggle Switch and 1/4 Output Jack for Solid Connections

·    Vintage 22awg Braided Cloth Push Back wiring all wrapped with high quality shrink insulation tubing

·    Assembly Template.  Note these templates do not get installed in your guitar.  Only used to assure correct measurement when building, shipping protection and makes your part of the project work easier!

Template component measurements center to center:

Volume to Volume 2.5"     Switch to Neck Volume 15"
Tone to Tone 2.5"              Switch to Jack 20"
Volume to Tone 2.5"
We add an additional 1/2 to 1 inch extra wire run between components for installation flexibility.

Wiring harness is feed thru the f holes and requires opening in the widest part of the f hole no less than 1 - 1/8 inch to be able to feed the harness into the hollow body. Pot case size is same as a quarter.  Good test is to hold a quarter between two finders and see if it will fit thru the f hole.

What's In The Kit:

          4 – Bourns 500K Potentiometers - Short-Split-Shaft, Audio Taper 18 teeth course

1 – Switchcraft 3-Way Short Toggle Switch with black tip

1 - Vintage 22awg Braided Cloth Push Back wiring all wrapped high quality shrink

2 – K42Y-2 PIO Vintage NOS Russian .033uf neck and .015uf bridge  Tone Caps

          1 – Switchcraft ¼ inch Output Jack

1 – Assembly Template Hard Board

(All assembled except for final hook up of Pickups connections and grounds)

I personally prefer Bourns potentiometers over all other brands including CTS.  I have found them to be smoother, responsive and longer lasting.  The very best taper available.  These pots are 18 spline shaft so USA type knobs will not fit without first pinching the top of the split shaft together a little and slowly push the knob on.  Epiphone and off shore type will fit fine.  We do offer a line of knobs that fit.

If you have an imported / outside of USA manufactured guitar you may need to modify the potentiometer holes to 3/8 inch to accommodate the full size Bourns pots. Your installation instructions will cover this. If you have questions feel free to email me.

Although these harnesses are pre-assembled and tested they do require some soldering to connect the pickups and the output jack.  A 25 – 40 watt soldering iron is recommended.  Make sure you are comfortable with making these connections or we suggest you take this to a qualified guitar tech to complete the installation.  I can not be responsible if you damage a unit.

Each harness is custom built after purchase so my lead time to build your harness before shipping is 5 to 10 business days.  In stock means I have the parts to build.  You will receive a notice with USPS tracking number once shipped.
