Livy. Basileae : Per Joan. Hervagium, 1543.Beautiful folio Post Incunable copy of Livy's works, including his ancient history of Rome, and his table-based chronology of ancient Roman history. "T. Livii Patavini ... Decadis quintae libri quinque" and Glarean's
"Chronologia" are also bound in after the first half-title, and have their own full, dated title pages (and each printer's mark on the
title page and last page verso).A most attractive example, a clean folio bound with patterned paper over the boards, the spine with gilt stamped bands, titling and decor with a tan title box, text in gilt as well. Hinges and joints fully intact; text w/ light waterstaining at the rear, some remnant of an old bookplate on the first half-title, and some corner and edge restorations on the final leaf, the last leaf with FINIS in manuscript, as shown. Red glossed page edges. Text in Latin. Measures 14.5" x 10" x 1.5". Good luck!
