Referred to by Dylan himself as "...a rough sketch acrylicly done", this painting was Dylan's way of tying together the music and the album art in his own artistic way. His "Self Portrait" was accepted in the art community as a primitive expression of Dylan's music, though fans of his music probably saw it is a lot more complicated. Very few musicians without formal art training would have had the balls to paint their own portrait and use it for their album cover, but then again Bob Dylan never liked to fit a particular mold.
The lithograph measure's 57.5 cm in width and 67.5 cm in height and is in great condition as shown in the photo. Once framed this stunning item will be a eye catching talking point for any Bob Dylan collector. There is no certificate with this lithograph but it is limited to 9800 worldwide..
