Medieval Drinking horns have a long history and been used by many different cultures.  You often see that they have been used in ceremonies from weddings to burials.  These horns were also used as a token of welcomed to honored guests. In many medieval ballads and legends, where women handing out a drinking horn, are mentioned frequently. Sometimes the horn is filled with poison, and there seems to be a magical element in the use of drinking horns.”  Our Medieval Lion Rampant Drinking Horn has been hand carved and polished.  The lion is a common charge in heraldry. It traditionally symbolizes bravery, valor, strength, and royalty, because historically it has been regarded as the king of beasts. A "lion rampant" is depicted in profile standing erect with forepaws raised. The position of the hind legs varies according to local custom: the lion may stand on both hind legs, braced wide apart, or on only one, with the other raised ready to strike. With having such deep roots throughout history who wouldn’t want a drinking horn of their very own?  The Medieval Lion Rampant Drinking Horn makes a perfect gift or can be used for costumes, plays, and re-enactments.

The horn stand is made of twisted forged iron.
