This auction is for a 2013 Orion dovetail mounting base for many of their finder scope line. This is the standard base and so will work on virtually ALL of Orion's reflector line from 2002 to date. It will not work with schmidt-cassegrains.

This kit includes the cast aluminum dovetail female saddle, (2) flat top Philips screws, (2) lock nuts, the large, brass locking screw, and the curved, anti-crush steel pressure plate. All of this is original from Orion.

The steel pressure plate is VERY important to have because it will keep you from denting your tin or aluminum telescope optical tube when fastening down the finder base. Without this piece, you will cave-in the side wall of the optical tube. This part was not originally offered by Orion, but I had taken it off of a previous Orion dovetail base that resided on my XT8 reflector. 

So now you have the full kit.

It may or may not work with the newer XT "Classic" line as those scopes came with red dot finders, not optical finders.

The dovetail base CAN WORK on older cardboard sonatube optical tubes, like the classic Meade Starfinders, Orion Deep Space Explorers, Celestron Star Hoppers, and Coulter Odysseys, but you will need to use longer screws because those tubes are thicker.
