Spherical, Rotatable Lens
Our Dual tech features an innovative Spherical, Rotatable Lens. The sensor comes with the factory setting of wide detection but by simply removing the cover and flipping the lens 180 degrees you can create a whole new narrow detection area for corridors, window protection and more. Note: microwave sensor is disabled when the device is used for narrow applications.
The specially designed spherical lens provides a precise focal length of each detection ray onto the pyroelectric elements. This advanced lens design helps to ensure consistency throughout the field of detection and considerably reduces the chance of missed alarms
The key to how this detector eliminates false alarms is it needs both the technologies to 'agree' before the alarm is triggered and as microwave detects air changes caused by moving objects (like radar) and the PIR detects infra-red heat sources against background heat they combine to make what is considered the best detector technology to irradiate false alarms.
