The body shutter curtain does hang up and it would need a clean and lube, if, my intent were to sell it to someone who seeks to use it, which it is not.
Now, here is the best part:
These cameras were offered with a choice of three lenses, all in M-42 Mount:
1.) f/2.2 55mm
2.) f 2 58mm
3.) f 2.4 58mm
Along with the AP/Tower 26 bodies, the 58mm lenses would be discontinued after only a 10 month production run. The f/2.4 version was the least produced of all, and this Tower 26 comes with the very rare Takumar f/2.4 58mm P-Mount lens that is in very fine condition, and which also appears to function as designed without issue. This lens was a redesigned version of the Asahi-Kogaku Takumar in M37 mount for the Asahiflex I, IA, IIA, and IIB/Tower 22, 23 & 24 bodies. Produced in P-Mount (M-42) from May 1957 - March 1958, and ONLY for the Asahi AP/Tower 26 bodies.
Lens is clear and fungus free.
Also includes lens cap and brown leather case however the lower tab which holds the bottom of the case in place has sheared off.
