Exquisite Antique Victorian Silk Floral Shawl, Color & White Embroidery. This magnificent and unusual shawl can be folded in half across the middle to create two different shawls in one. It can be worn with the colored embroidered side out, or the ivory on ivory embroidered side out. It truly is beautiful and has the most exquisite floral details. It is in very good condition with no holes and has all of its delicately hand-twisted and knotted silk fringe border. It does have a few small and widely scattered rust stains which are mostly light and, my opinion is, that they are of very little consequnce on an item this beautiful.
The embroidery is on silk that is 45" by 45", with a silk fringe border that makes up the rest of the 21" border length. The embroidery is wonderful and is just as pretty on both sides.
