Developed and designed Based on original Lucas Design
Recently manufactured rotor arms have been failing due to poor design and cheap materials. Notably, the rivet which holds the brass inlay into the moulding has proved to be an unreliable method of construction. The high tension current, averaging 30,000 volts, is always looking for the easiest route to earth and shorts down through the rivet.
Based on the original, more reliable 1960’s design, but made from modern engineering grade polypropylene with the latest manufacturing techniques to high tolerances.
These LUCAS STYLE RED ROTOR ARMS will not let you down.
The brass contact is inlaid to dispense with the troublesome rivet used on most versions, this rivet can run very close to the centre cam and is known to cause failure by short-circuiting.
The superior insulation of the body makes them suitable for use with Electronic ignitions and high output coils
The new spring steel clip, in conjunction with a revised high manufacture tolerance, assures a really good fit.
These LUCAS STYLE RED ROTOR ARMS will not let you down.
The integrally moulded brass inlay dispenses with the troublesome rivet used on most versions which is known to short circuit.
The increased insulation properties of the body make them suitable for use with high voltage coils & electronic ignition kits.
The spring steel clip on the underside, in conjunction with a revised internal tolerance, assures a really snug fit, even on old & slightly reduced diameter mountings.
