South Korea's state mint, KOMSCO, has embarked on an ambitious project to become a major player in the silver bullion market.

Part and parcel of this effort is the mint's ZI:SIN series of silver medallions. The newest issue in the series is the 2019 1 oz ZI:SIN Scrofa Silver BU!

These brilliant uncirculated (BU) silver medallions contain 1 troy ounce of fine silver content, and are 99.9% pure silver.

This year's total mintage will not exceed 40,000 units.

The reverse side of the design shows Scrofa, who is the divine embodiment of hope and faith in peace. Her duties also include protecting the Salt Lake that connects the mortal world to the realm of the gods. She strikes a somber pose while holding a large sword. The background includes an arid desert filled with pyramid-shaped mounds. The inscription "ZI:SIN SCROFA" is inscribed above.

The inimitable Do-ggae-bi, a classic symbol of protection in Korean culture, graces the obverse design. The purity "999" and the KOMSCO logo are found below. Rim inscriptions include "2019 FINE SILVER 999," the issuing country "REPUBLIC OF KOREA," and the denomination "1 CLAY."
