The first edition to be printed in America, following the suppressed 1865 edition which utilized British sheets and which there are few surviving copies. A beautiful rare book in good condition for it age with pages of gilted gold edges, glited with image of Alice and pig on front cover and cat on back cover. Spine is glited also with some wear on the edges. Some of the charming illustrations can be seen in the photos.
