A beautiful bronze  sculpture of Odysseus ( Ulysees ) preparing to string his bow. This sculpture is after Jacques Bousseau 1680-1710. The original is in the Louvre. The sculpture is signed Louvre as well. It is 14.75 inches tall. It has acquired a beautiful patina over the years. 19th century. 

As Ulysees strung his bow. He lined up twelve axe heads and shot an arrow through all twelve. Following this with the help of his son Telemachus, Athena and Eumacus he killed all of the suitors for his wife Penelope as told by Homer in his epic poem, The Odyssey.
