Thousands of cables sold worldwide!

Length approx 1m/3ft
3ins (if required, you can add a USB extension cable up to a total of 5m long).

This handy cable allows you to connect your Current Cost meter to your computer. You can then run software on your PC to analyse your energy use, upload data to the web and much more. Please visit the meter manufacturers website for more information and a list of software.

One end of the cable has an 8 pin modular jack (RJ45) which connects to the data port on the meter. The other end has a USB plug which connects to the PC's USB port. The cable contains a USB to serial converter, so the meter appears as a COM port on the PC.

Avoids driver problems often encountered with cheaper Prolific PL2303 cables, instead using the much better supported SiLabs CP2102 chipset and works with all current versions of Windows, MacOS and Linux.

Please Note: The USB chipset and the drivers are different from and superior to the original Current Cost USB cable.

A wide choice of software for use with your meter is available on the web, none is included with this cable.
