By popular request - we proudly introduce a premium grade FTDI version of our programming cable for these excellent radios.

This handy cable allows you to program your Baofeng hand-held transceiver from your computer.

One end of the cable has a single 3.5mm 4-pole jack plug which connects to the radio. The other end has a USB plug which connects to the PC's USB port. The cable contains a USB to serial converter, so the radio appears as a COM port on the PC. Length approx 1.7m/5ft 6ins.

Suits the following Baofeng radios:

UV-3R, UV-100, UV-200 , BF-U3, BF-U8
UV-3R mkII, UV-100 mkII, UV-200 mkII

NOT for 'plus' models with twin jack connectors, for example UV-3R+. They use a different cable, please visit our eBay shop.

This cable uses the highly regarded FTDI FT232RL chip which works with all current versions of Windows, MacOS, Android and Linux.

Please note that a programming cable is not an audio interface for datamodes.
