USB Cat control & programming cable for TenTec transceivers

Thousands of cables sold worldwide!

Length approx 1.7m/5ft 6ins (if required, you can add a USB extension cable up to 5m long).

This handy cable allows control of your TenTec transceiver by your computer.

Suitable for
Jupiter, Argonaut V, Orion, Orion II, Pegasus and Omni VII

For example, you can use remote control software like Ham Radio Deluxe or edit and backup your memory channels easily. Contest and logging software can fetch your operating frequency and mode direct from the radio. If you are working satellites, your computer can automatically track your transmit and receive frequencies and compensate for doppler shift. Some models also allow you to update the transceivers firmware.

One end of the cable has a DB9 male which connects to the COM socket on the radio. The other end has a USB plug which connects to the PC's USB port. The cable contains a USB to serial converter, so the radio appears as a COM port on the PC.

Avoids driver problems often encountered with cheaper Prolific PL2303 cables, instead using the much better supported SiLabs CP2102 chipset and works with all current versions of Windows, MacOS and Linux.

Please note that a CAT cable is not an audio interface for datamodes.

Fair postage. Proof of posting obtained for all shipments. No packing charges. Orders received before 3 p.m. are normally posted on the same day (Mon-Fri).

Please check the availability of suitable software for your model of radio and that the software supports USB.
