This series was first introduced in 1901 - 1906. There is no series number on this particular piece, only the special backstamp "Sir Izaak Walton - Royal Doulton".
Hey, you could even hide your drugs under the pedestal base!!

Pictures #1 - #4 show the underside. Picture #5 shows the interior with all 7 characters.
Pictures #6, 7, and 8 show the interior, with sayings, as follows:
Picture #6 "There stood my friend with patient skill, Attending of his trembling quill"
Picture #7 "Friend. who is more welcome to my dish than to my angle was my fish"
Picture #8 "And when the timorous trout I wait to take, and he devours my bait"
     Picture #9 shows the backstamp
Picture $10 is from Louise Irvine's book "Royal Doulton Series Ware"

A truly fabulous piece of Doulton. All pictures are crisp and clean - no "smudges", no chips, no cracks, no repairs, no nothing! Makes a great fruit bowl! Maybe goldfish?
Makes a SPECTACULAR gift for a serious fisherman or just a great addition to your collection - doubtful you'll ever see another one of these!

DIMENSIONS: 9" tall. 16" diameter. 7" deep

VERY HEAVY - weighs about 10 pounds, plus packaging. I pack professionally, so assume the box will weigh around 12-13 pounds. Here's my preference:
If you live within 50 miles of Roslyn, Long Island, N.Y. I could offer you personal delivery of $35 (to cover tolls, gas, etc.) OR we could meet "halfway" somewhere OR
you can come over to my home and pick it up - I won't even charge you!

P.S. See my other listing for three plates in this series. Fantastic gift for a fisherman OR great prizes to be given away at a fishing club!!!!
