An extremely rare, vintage decorative toy that combines skateboarding and Christmas

This adorable, vintage holiday toy has many articulations (a rarity) that allow you pose Santa in various rad positions. Santa's knees, hips, elbows and shoulders all are articulated while his wrists, ankles and neck twist just a bit. Santa's hand's are molded to allow him to grip the board for more positioning fun. Glued to the bottom of Santa's boots are velcro pieces that allow him to stand upright and stay in place on the skateboard.

It is obviously unintentional but because English isn't Taiwan's official language there are many grammatical errors in the text printed on the back of the box. We acknowledge this item was made in Taiwan but the back text still reads funny and adds more quirk to an already awesome product.

Because there is no printed production date and no information regarding this item online we are unsure of when it was produced. Based on the quality, materials, logo and box art we strongly believe the production date is some time in the late 1970s, possibly very early 1980s.

-Makes a great gift for those who love anything related to vintage skateboards and/or vintage Christmas/holiday-related items.

Condition:

In good, pre-owned condition. Both skateboard and Santa Claus figure look great cosmetically. Though the battery-powered skateboard looks new it does not operate (still can be pushed by hand) therefore this is being sold as a decorative only. The battery compartment looks fine so we are unsure why the motor on the skateboard doesn't work. The door of the battery compartment has a broken latch so it doesn't stay closed but something like a simple piece of scotch tape holds it well. The velcro piece on the figure's right foot has partially peeled off from the very old glue. Because the figure's joints are quite stiff the back of the box contains the caution "Fix new posture slowly." which we also recommend to avoid joint damage. The box has acquired a fair amount of shelf/storage wear (tears, creases, missing flap) over the years. Please see photos.
