It shows Farman (1878-1964) in an aeroplane fitted with
a Gnome motor, at the Grand Prix.
Farman and his brother Henri Farman (1874-1958) were
pioneer aviators and aircraft manufacturers,
together they built and made the first flight in a Voisin biplane.
Ernest Montaut (1879-1909) and his wife,
Marguerite (who Gamy is possibly a pseudonym for),
were the first artists to capture the Heroic Age of
aviation and motor racing.
