This coin is a real "Moose coin"

This coin has problem free surfaces: The 1941-P is Hard to find in High grades. See the pictures I provided for reference – This coin displays Nice Bright Luster and other nice details, no bad bag-marks or scratches, a nice collector Uncirculated coin!

The 1941 Mercury Dime is one of the harder coins to find in from Fine all the way to Nice Uncirculated condition. This was minted toward the end of the Great Depression - During this Era people spent all their money they could not afford to save nice Unc Rolls like they did twenty years later when we were in the Post War Era and the Fabulous 1950's.

Mercury Dimes from the Teen’s, Twenties, 1930's and 1940's are Really Scarce in Nice Uncirculated grades. Because copper is very open to the elements these coins are going to be even Scarcer as time goes on. Some of the Teens to the 1930's coins are even hard to find in Extra-Fine or Amount Uncirculated Grades especially the mint marked issues.

These are all World War II Veteran Era coinage! In their lifetimes (1910-2025) the U.S. has gone from Gold and Silver coinage, Gold Notes, Silver Certificates - To copper-nickel clad coinage and non-redeemable paper money - It took the Roman Empire over 200 years to complete the same task - We have done this in one only generation!

The 1941-P Mercury Dime had 175,090,000 coins minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1941 but most of these coins have been severely used over the years – and they were worn to the point of almost unrecognizable details – Nice mid-range collectable coins are very scarce to come by (with no problems) anymore!

Our policy on coin certification and grading:

We are NOT professional coin graders, however we do the best we can based on our experiences buying, selling and collecting coins for the past fifty years. We guarantee the authenticity of each coin we sell to be genuine.

We gladly offer a 14-day return guarantee on every coin we sell. This gives you two-weeks to examine the coin yourself and make your own determinations on the coins grade. In order to have a valid return we ask that our items remain in the SEALED plastic holders we send them to you in. If sent back unsealed we may not accept the return as we cannot fully determine if it is our coin or something has been done to it to harm the quality of the coin. Please contact us in advance of any return either by ebay email or call us on the phone number provided on the coin itself.

Our Policy Third Party Coin Grading Services

We do not send in our coins for grading as we consider it a form of gambling. We do list some graded coins but we purchased these coins this way over many years of collecting. We can only base the grading on our personal experiences during our fifty years in the collecting business. The grading opinions of the three eBay accepted grading services can vary greatly from service to service and from time to time even at the very same service. Coin grading is not as precise as most collectors think it is. We cannot guarantee any grade based on any third party opinion of the coins we sell. After all it is an opinion based on the people that are grading on any particular day and the people that are employed at the time of the coins grading. We have seen the quality vary greatly from decade to decade and from service to service. We stopped sending in coins over 25 years ago when we determined that the coins we sent in and sold to others that the very same coins ended up in higher grade holders. This meant to us that the coins were being sent in many multiple times just making the grading services more and more money for grading fees. If you wish to send a coin in for grading this is the chance you take and anyone takes on the grades that come back. We have had many customers say that they had some really awesome grades come back on our coins and they made huge money. We have had a few say that the coins didn’t work but these are the chances you decide to take on the coin grading roulette wheel. We feel that we give a good value for the quality of coins you receive. Most think so as well please read our feedbacks. We have many repeat customers.

Since eBay does not allow us to use the number system 1 to 70 on “Uncertified Coins” we do the best we can to describe them, we take more pictures then most coin people do on eBay and at different angles so you can better determine the coins quality for yourself. We will also send additional pictures upon request on any coin we sell and answer any questions you may have.

Coin Flaws, Scratches, Corrosion, Colors or Cleaning:

We DO NOT clean any of our coins. This does not mean that some of our coins have not been cleaned somewhere down the line by a previous owner decades or even centuries ago. Coins are inherently many years old and there is always a chance that something has been done to them a long time ago, it is a matter of what is considered acceptable or not.  We do the best we can to determine this but we are not professionals, sometimes we can’t always tell and again this is a matter of opinion. Both of the top two grading services now offer a service calledCoin Conservation Servicesfor a price. Keep in mind that this IS SANCTIONED COIN CLEANING in some form but since they do the cleaning the coins are placed into a holder and no mention of cleaning is on the grade? If we think a coin has been cleaned or has some other flaw, large scratch, corrosion or pretty color (patina or toning), we mention this in both the upper description area and if cleaned in lower description area, underneath the additional pictures we provide in the lower description as well.
