• Pair of Victorian Antique SHOE LAST Bookends, made from SOLID MAPLE Antique Shoe Lasts or forms for making shoes  - a unique combination of fashion, Americana and  American Industrial history, all in a functional and visually stunning pair of bookends.
  • Made from actual wooden shoe lasts, used by a cobbler to make shoes - the nail holes are still visible in the soles, as shown.    The lasts are marled "6 E"
  • Each bookend is about 10" tall x 8" wide x 4 1/2" deep, including base.
  • Very nice vintage.  A little dusty, with some very light surface rust in spots on the metal tongues under the base.
  • A little loose on the bases, easily tightened, otherwise no issues.  The wooden lasts were well used to make shoes, and show all the marks and nail holes associated with that.
