Class 37 Hauled No. 7

DVD No.7 includes:

24 Hours in North Wales: A detailed look at 37 hauled trains on the coast, filmed 18/19 May 1998. With two overnight trains and an hourly daytime service, seven locos were required and on this day and 37s 414, 415, 418, 419, 422, 420 and 426 were in action.

Scotland 1999-2006: Class 37s have a great history in Scotland and many years after the Large Logo beasts moved on, the 37 flag was kept flying by a mixed bag of 37/4s working freight, sleeper and charter trains on the West Highland line plus the luxurious Royal Scotsman. With 37s 401, 416 and 428 painted into the RS livery, by 2005, the train was hauled by WCRC locos, which saw 37/0s, 197 and 261 also repainted and return to the Highlands. 16 different locos are featured.

Cumbria: The Final Trains: With the DRS 37 passenger hauled trains finishing on 28th December, 37424 and 37425 are featured in gorgeous sunshine on the third-to-last day, Christmas Eve! The same two locos worked again on the final day with the last train powered by 37425 seen departing Barrow. The Cumbria Class 37 story ended with the farewell tour from 11th January, featuring 37409 and 37425. This final train is featured four times.
