Antique Treen Walking Stick W/ Silver Collar - Welsh Regiment - Stanhope Holmes

A great piece of Welsh Military history!

a treen walking stick with a silver collar, embossed onto the collar is the writing - 
' Lt Col Stanhope Holmes
2/ Battn Welsh Regt' 
Silver collar unmarked untested.
The stick belonged to a Lieutenant-Colonel who was in the Welsh Regiment, his name was Henry Stanhope Holmes and was born during 1848 and died during 1938.

The stick can be used or would be great for a collector of military items.
