Fender Fine Electric Instruments

Full line colour catalogue from 1964

Measuring 27.5cm x 21cm, the catalogue has 35 pages including the covers. The overall condition is excellent, with only slight signs of wear on the cover, including some tearing on the crease of the paper at the spine. This historic document is in beautiful condition, and is one of the best I have seen for this period. The front cover carries a stylised colour drawing/sketch of a band playing, which perfectly captures the feel of the 1960s, including the cigarette hanging out of the corner of the guitarist’s mouth! The cover is a work of art in its own right.

All major products are covered: Guitars, basses, acoustics, amps, keyboards, microphones, strings and accessories. There is a great level of detail, with some nostalgic photos of products and artists of the time.

Catalogues from the 60s are increasingly rare, as more and more are being locked up in private collections. Who would have thought 55 years on, that a marketing catalogue would ultimately become such a highly prized collector’s item? But this is an extremely desirable and collectable item of Fender memorabilia, and is in extremely good condition.
