Each square represents 1 penny, thus a penny block is 1 square, a nickel block is 5 squares, a dime block is 10 squares, and a quarter block is 25 squares. Using the grid and the blocks, students will be able to model the value of any combination of coins from 1 cent to 1 dollar.
