Thank you for taking the time to
check out one of our really cool picks. We were given the opportunity to go
through and purchase a storage room that had been under lock and key since 1971
and never opened. Everything in this storage area was prior to 1971. They were
getting ready to take down the storage rooms and make room for a new
building, and destroying everything inside. Thankfully, we were able to
purchase and save these really cool collectibles. This locker had toys,
Barbie's, Barbie accessories and dolls, many with dates and everything is dated
prior to 1971.
The name 'LEGO' is an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well". It’s our name and it’s our ideal. About Us

Vintage 1960's LEGO System by Samsonite 214/5 W 12 White Windows in Box + Sheet
Just a guess, but I think this storage area could have
been from someone in the military and or a GI. There are a lot of reasons for
someone in military in the late 60's and early 70's to leave a storage room and
never return. This storage was located near Washington DC, Baltimore
and Ft. Meade where there is a large military community.

The LEGO Group was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen. The company has passed from father to son and is now owned by Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, a grandchild of the founder.
It has come a long way over the past almost 85 years - from a small carpenter’s workshop to a modern, global enterprise that is now one of the world’s largest manufacturers of toys.
The first LEGO automatic binding brick The LEGO brick is our most important product. We are proud to have been named “Toy of the Century” twice. Our products have undergone extensive development over the years but the foundation remains the traditional LEGO brick.
The brick in its present form was launched in 1958. The interlocking principle with its tubes makes it unique and offers unlimited building possibilities. It's just a matter of getting the imagination going and letting a wealth of creative ideas emerge through play.
