Vintage Antique Nativity Set Italy Christmas Manger Composite Paper Mache Figurines Hand Painted. I do not know the exact year this was made but its very old. Lot of 13 figurines. Most of them are either paper mache or composite with metal wires a few of them some type of chalkware material. I am having a hard time figuring out the exact fragile material its made from. They have Italian markings on the bottom. They are very old and very fragile so they do have flaws. They range in size from the smallest being around 2" and the largest around 5". All of them have wear. I am going to point out what I believe is the biggest flaws they are displayable they are just not for the mint collector they are very old and very fragile. The man holding the lamb has an old repair on the stomach, small chip in the back, to the bottom and the bottom of the lamb. Sheep one of them has a crack on the leg, chip on the foot and some craze lines. I think the sheep is compo. The other one no major flaws. Ox has this coil for the ears its unique looking has a small chip at the edge. Has a chip to the mouth and the body has a crack. Sitting camel I think he is chalkware. Has a chip off on the bottom platform and a crack on the leg. Baby jesus which may be chalkware also small chips on the edge. Angel chips on the wing and a tiny one on the nose he may be chalkware also. Donkey has a chip off on the ear most of that ear is gone. One of the Nativity men has a small chip on the bottom another chips on the hat. The tall camel has a crack to the legs still stands however. Mary a few minor flakes. The one playing the trumpet small chip on the edge of the hat , on the jacket, shoulder, and knee and there is an old glue repair on the bottom. There is some soil,craze lines, and age pick up as shown. They are still displayable items all flaws shown in the photos. Flaws are expected with age and photos are taken in natural light so you can see the details. This has to be carefully packed and is heavy so shipping will reflect that. From my mothers estate they were my grandmothers.
I unfortunately had to change my handling time to 4 to 5 business days. I still ship quickly. However with the current condition of the post office and the slow down of the mail they are already holding packages for several days without any tracking scan acknowledgements.
