The name John Burns Montreal engraved on the side, we have never seen another like this. We believe it could have been made for John Burns a Presbyterian minister, author and teacher born Feb 12 1773 in the parish of Fenwick, Ayrshire, Scotland who lived a very interesting life and lived till Feb 1822 in Upper Canada.
