Contains c. 260 scraps, cards and images. All pages loose from binding, paper very age brittle.
Interesting 19th century American scrap book. Cloth binding, ornate gilt and embossed cover designs. Pages all made from wood pulp and thus very brittle as typical. Paper chips easily, the chromos are all on much heavier sturdier paper and would soak free from the paper readily and safely.
Profusion of 19th century images, including numerous New England business cards and advertisements, Christmas cards, prints, paper fashion dolls, and other ephemera, many of which are no doubt random one of a kind survivals.
Book measures: 12 1/2" H X 9 7/8" W.
