This NEW BLACK COLOR intake strainer with check ball is from Fluval and it is NEW.  This color is new for the 07 series, yet WILL FIT the 05 and 06 series too!  (confirmed by Fluval) . It is great because it helps with algae, as black is not as attractive as the clear!    This fits Fluval Canister filters numbers:

305 405 306 406 307 407

This helps to keep the intake siphon from being cut off so filter start up is much easier after you disconnect and service the canister.
