FEATURES
Our world maps are engraved on pine planks. Our wood is carefully selected to provide you a quality wall decorations. The boards are planed on the 4 sides, cut with a table saw to obtain straight sides and then, they are finally sanded. Stain and varnish are also applied on the wood to protect it. We create designs with a very high level of precision. This product is unique, the color tone of the boards as well as grain and knots of wood can vary from one model to another.
- DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHTS: The dimensions of our world maps in standard size are 38'' x 24'' with +/- 1''. All our boards are cut to 36'' length.
The total weight of the STANDARD size is approximately 12 lbs (5.5 kg). - DYED WOOD AND POLYURETHANE VARNISH: We use oil dye for a long lasting wood color. It penetrates the pores to coat and protect the wood. We use an ultra-strong polyurethane varnish and formulated so that its microscopic chains of high quality resin molecules will bond tightly with one another as it dries. The result is a finish that's much is more resistant to water, solvents, abrasion and impacts than traditional varnishes.
- VERY DETAILED DRAWING: We use a technique to make our drawings with a high level of precision. Then, our outlines are well defined. Because it's a handmade product, the presence of very small defects is possible. Be sure that we will do our best to offer to you almost perfection.
- STEEL CABLE ON THE BACK: A ridgid steel cable is already attached to the back of the frame. We do not provide screws or anchors. You will only have to install a single screw in the wall to hang your article. DO NOT use a nail because that may comes out easily, your frame may fall. Although, this is not a requirement but we recommend using an anchor point for your screws especially if it is, for example, above a crib. Our frames are made of pine wood, which is a light wood.
- AUTHENTICATED BY LASER SIGNATURE: Each of our works contains our signature located at the right corner of the frame. It is engraved in the wood by laser.
- SHIPPING: Additional fees may be required for remote areas. Customs and import taxes are the responsibility of the buyers.
