Up for sale is this rare museum Chinese antique painting by Master Yu Zhiding (also Yu Chih Ting or Chi Jang T’u).


This exceptional piece is entitled “The Golden Days of Yao Wang When Everybody Was Gay” and was part of the collection of the late Sir George Scott.


The back of the piece details the information and also notes it was transferred to Acid Free Paper in March 1980.


Piece is noted in Davenport’s Art Reference 2006-2007 on Page 2379.


Very rare piece for the finest of collectors in the world!


Frame measures 11.7” inches tall and 23” inches long (29.7 cm, 58.4 cm).

Yu Zhiding (Yü Chih-ting, traditional:

Yu was a native of Jiangdu (present-day Yangzhou) in Jiangsu province.[1] His style name was 'Shangji' (

吉) and his sobriquetwas 'Shenzai' (慎齋). He served in the Imperial Painting Academy (廷畫院) during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor.[2] Yu was taught by Lan Ying, and painted landscapes, human figures, and bird-and-flower paintings.


A recent painting sold for over $3 Million Dollars.
