World War I (1914-18) Commemorative Cufflinks

These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine South African Military Forces buttons from the era of the First World War, over 100 years ago and this year commemorating the centenary of the end of the First World War.  This pair of cufflinks is made from two brass and blackened South African Military Forces buttons, typical of those worn during the First World War and during campaigns like the Somme in 1916.  The cufflinks are made with a fixed back and are reassuringly heavy and great to wear.  They are made using smaller cuff buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 18 mm in diameter.

They represent a unique part of history in this centennial year marking the end of the First World War.  The brass buttons were blackened for use on battle dress and have been very carefully cleaned to retain the original character of the buttons which are approximately 100 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these original buttons.

This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of South African history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks.  They are presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the perfect present in this remembrance year marking the centenary of the end of the First World War.
