This adapter allows you to use any CTEK battery charger / conditioner with your Mercedes Benz SLS using the magnetic battery charger connection.
The OEM original charger that comes with the car (or sold by the dealer) is a VERY BASIC version, with very limited capabilities and definitely not the best protection for your battery.

The magnetic charging port can be located in different locations on different cars. Please refer to your dealer if you can't locate it.
