Hardly any other star has left us with so many different and conflicting images as Romy Schneider. She was photographed thousands of times and yet she always remained enigmatic. Will McBride took these photos after her break up with Alain Delon. She looked so vulnerable and truly beautiful. These snapshots conjure up once again the legend that was Romy while making a powerful statement which reveals the transitory nature of existence. That is the core of what a photo does. It creates an image in order to bear lasting witness to an event which happened yet at the very moment of capturing the image on film, it is no more than the proof that the fleeting moment has passed. The photos by Will McBride are just now being published for the first time.

The boards have light wear. The dust jacket has light edgewear with scratches and scuff marks visible in the light. Few creases. Scattered light foxing to the top edge on the underside of the dust jacket visible if the jacket is taken off of the book. Not price clipped. Internally, unmarked. Bright and clean. Hinges sound. Binding tight. Beautiful photographs.
