IGGY POP At His Top CD 18 Tracks 2007 Get Back Italy Import Most reviews are not favorable, the overall sound is "terrible" as the AMG review states. But it is consistent, not like a guy holding a microphone over his head in the mosh pit. In fact, the absence of crowd noise makes me believe this is a board recording. It is well-edited, in that there's no banter and dead space between numbers. Most importantly, Iggy sounds great--within the lo-fi limits of the recording. His voice is strong, and the band keeps up with him and is tight. So yeah, put this under "For Completists only" because of the lo-fi. But if you love Iggy's music and can appreciate a focused, high-energy performance with solid band back up, pick up a copy. By the way, this CD has five tracks at the end that were not on the original vinyl release.
