A French Louis XV style 19th century walnut side or writing table. This side table features a rectangular planked top with beveled edges and rounded corners, gently scalloped aprons and a well-proportioned, centered drawer.  The table is raised on tall cabriole legs, whose flowing, curvilinear form is what gives it the practical yet refined style that was borne at the height of French culture and influence. Though unpretentious, the warm golden-brown tone and rich patina of this table exudes charm and refinement. This sturdy table is well constructed with pegged mortise and tenon joinery.
