Offering an antique Haviland, Limoges, France, 20 5/8" large turkey platter on a "Star" blank, Schleiger No. 5. Decorated with pink and yellow floral swags and gold trim along the scalloped edge. This special set was purchased in Germany and, according to the estate, the family moved to the US from Germany in the early 1900s. Marked on the base with Haviland & Co.'s green underglaze manufacturing mark, Frank Haviland's red PARIS decorator's mark, and the retailer mark for F. Van Hauten in Bonn, Germany. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. Extremely little if any signs of use. There is a slightly discolored area on the underside of the rim.
