2. Can I install this adapter card on Dell PowerEdge servers?
PCIe slot bifurcation BIOS Setup options have been added for PowerEdge R630/R730/R730XD servers since BIOS Version 2.2.5. Some of the new 14G PowerEdge servers should support this feature as well. Please refer to the system owner's manual to confirm this information.

With the PCIe 3.0 x4x4x4x4 bifurcation enabled, the adapter card will be recognized as four independent standard NVM Express controllers. You can mixed install any NVMe M.2 modules with different models and/or capacities. However, identical M.2 modules are recommended for creating a RAID 0 storage space (Windows 8/10), dynamic disk (Windows 7), or logical volume (Linux/macOS).
