Our ACSPLICEKIT-C open reel splicing kit is our flagship splicing kit for 1/4" open reel tape, and it comes with one dual crosscut gold anodized TME-S15AN
professional splicing block with a Surelock™ center groove to gently hold your
tape into place, two crosscuts at 45 degrees
the other at 90 degrees.
The block is hard industrial Type III GOLD anodized to 70 HRC which converts the outer surfaces to a very hard barrier layer similar to case hardened steel in hardness. This nearly eliminates normal wear and tear of the block which should last you a lifetime. This barrier layer isn't a *coating* but it changes the molecular structure of the first microns into an extremely hard condition.
Also included is one 82 Ft roll of TME splicing tape, and you get one 500 Foot roll of the
archival quality AC1LWH500R solid white leader tape, the same leader used
by the Library of Congress. This
leader is solid white and can not shed. Last, you get one stainless steel safety edge triple facet USA made media blade included. These are the sharpest
single edge cutting blades we know of.
