How does Water-King descale existing limescale? Water-King's range of water conditioners are very effective at removing existing scale deposits. Descaling occurs within 6 to 8 weeks. The scale breaks away in flakes as it loses adhesion with the surface that it's encrusting.

Is the WK1-E right for you? The Water-King WK1-E is the more powerful model suitable for whole house protection where a high output electric water heater is installed (5kW to 12kW output). Water-King is the only product of its kind proven to partially soften hot water and is performance tested using the IGC-335 test protocol. The Water-King WK1 is suitable for most other homes, providing whole house protection. Plumbing King also supplies a smaller ESI model which is designed to protect a single appliance, such as a washing machine or boiler.

Why do electric water heaters needs more protection? The recent shift to renewable energy has seen a growing trend in electric water heaters in the UK, but some of the design features that make these heaters work so efficiently (such as operating at very high temperatures to provide instant hot water) also make them particularly prone to limescale formation, and therefore require additional protection.
